Cassie Robb Interview

How do you feel, now that your fight in RIZIN is official?

I am ecstatic! I have been super anxious to announce it, so now that it’s finally out I am really happy and very grateful for this opportunity!

What do you think about your opponent Miyuu Yamamoto?

I think that Miyuu is a great wrestler and a good match up to test my ground game and takedown defense. She also has a really good shot so I am interested to see how well I will be able to avoid being taken down by her.

Please tell the Japanese fans about the promotions you fight in back home.

I am currently signed with King of the Cage and I love being an athlete of theirs! If it wasn’t for them, this wouldn’t be possible! Terry has a great promotion and they have a lot of very talented fighters. Their match makers do an awesome job putting fights together and they draw in a huge crowd!

What are your impressions about Japan? Are there any specific things you would like to do/see in Japan?

Honestly, there is so much I want to see it’s hard to pick a few things in particular ! But I am very curious to try the food and to do some shopping ! It will be my first time leaving the country so I’m a little nervous to go somewhere so big! But nervous in a good way 🙂

What do you think about the Japanese fans?

I think Japanese fans are the best, very respectful and mindful of the athletes. It’s a lot different here in the states where everyone is screaming all loud and crazy. But for the events I have watched from Rizin they all seem to be more laid back, which I like. They really respect the athletes and events .

A message to the Japanese fans please.

I am eager to fight in Japan and I hope everyone will be pleased with my performance because I am training harder for this fight than I ever have before! I would love to come back again after this fight to compete as long as they will have me!
