As per the weigh-in on the 28th, this weigh-in is being overseen by sports announcer Takeshi Yano, Rizin PR ambassador Manami Hashimoto, and with Nobuhiko Takada watching over, the weigh-ins began. The results are listed below, as well as comments from the fighters in the tournament.

After the weigh-in finished, Nobuhiko Takada commented that “This feeling of expectation that surrounds the fighters, needs to be heard and told to the people around you.” as well as some comments about the “Iza no Mai” show itself.Chairman Sakakibara also commented that “We want to show the world what Japanese MMA is all about. That’s why I have put together such a formidable card. I really feel this to be true through the responses I have been getting. Tomorrow the doors open, the music will play and the lighting will be on. Where you hear that sound of the door opening, that will be the beginning of a new era in Japanese MMA. I hope everybody fully enjoys this”. He also commented about the event on the 28th and how they put a lot of effort into making it a different kind of event than was expected.

It was also announced that two people won the rights via auction to attend the weigh-in of both the Fedor Emelianenko vs. Singh “Heart” Jaideep and Akebono vs. Bob Sapp matches. They were overwhelmed by the atmosphere before a fight as well as what it looks like to be “on the brink of war”.
