Yuki Motoya relinquishes the Deep flyweight title

   

Fresh off appearing on April 23rd at the Deep Cage Impact 2016 event, Yuki Motoya has decided to relinquish the Deep flyweight title.

Motoya was scheduled to appear on the April 17th Rizin 1 show held in Nagoya, but was unable to fight due to symptoms relating to cutting weight. The doctor deemed Motoya unable to fight.

Motoya commented that he felt truly sorry for the fans and that he deeply apologizes for messing up his weight cutting routine. He went on to say that it was time to start over, to build up the fans trust and support, hence relinquishing the title.

Also appearing on the April 17th Rizin show was the “Queen of the female primates”, Gabi Garcia, who defeated Anna Malyukova. Gabi commented that she wants to help take Japanese MMA back to the top.
