Bellator 157: Dynamite 2 was held on June 24, 2016 at the Scottrade Center in St. Louis, Missouri and featured a mix of both MMA and kickboxing fights. In the main event, former UFC light heavyweight champion Quinton “Rampage” Jackson (37-11 MMA, 4-0 BMMA) fought Japanese 2008 Olympic judo gold medalist Satoshi Ishii (14-6-1 MMA, 0-1 BMMA) in a catchweight fight of 225 pounds. Despite Ishii controlling the fight from start to finish, repeatedly used inside trips to get Jackson to the mat, Jackson won by split decision. The judges scored the fight 29-28, 28-29, and 30-27 in favor of Jackson.

Hisaki Kato also knocked out Joe Schilling with spinning-back fist at Bellator Kickboxing.

Rizin Committee chairman Nobuyuki Sakakibara, who attended the event live, had the following to say after the event: .

“Fighters who fight abroad must go into the fight with the intent to finish their opponent. I think Ishii did a great job, and to be honest, I thought he won that fight but sometimes that’s how things go. I want him to keep going from here, he can only go up”.
