[#RIZIN2016] Fighters selected for the Rizin 2016 Open Weight tournament!

   
   
   

In order to determine just who is the best fighter in the world today, Rizin Fighting Federation will hold an open weight tournament. The tournament will take place on September 25th, December 29th, and finish with the finals on December 31st. The tournament will have 16 of the world’s best fighters, with names like Wanderlei Silva, Mirko Filipović, Kazuyuki Fujita, and Baruto already confirmed to appear. Under the twitter hashtag of #RIZIN2016, Rizin has been listening to the fans recommendations. Taking all this under consideration, here are the current selections so far:

Pickup No.1:Jiří Procházka information

Jiří Procházka (17-3-1) is an MMA fighter out of Hosteradice, Czech Republic. Standing at 193cm, the 24 year old is the #1st ranked Pro Mens fighter Heavyweight in Japan. He made his Rizin debut during the Rizin Fighting World Grand-Prix 2015 100kg tournament and defeated Satoshi Ishii by KO, as well as Vadim Nemkov by TKO before losing to King Mo in the final. He is a very aggressive fighter with beautiful combinations and strikes, and his jumping knees are particularly devastating. Procházka made his second appearance for Rizin this past April, defeating Kazuyuki Fujita by KO. Procházka has breathed new life into MMA and Rizin is very happy to have him take part in the open weight tournament.
