GCF Champion and Czech Republic representative Jiří Procházka will be fighting Satoshi Ishii during the opening round for RIZIN WORLD GP. Procházka stayed calm throughout the interview “I am ready”.

—You have been chosen to fight in RIZIN representing the Czech Republic
My mind is clear. I am ready to fight. I just need to wait for the time to come.

—Your opponent will be Satoshi Ishii, what are our thoughts about him
He is a fantastic fighter. I believe will be a great challenge for me. This is his home country so I believe he will receive tons of attention. But I want to show the Japanese fans that there are good fighters in a country named Czech Republic, a country smaller than the island of Hokkaido.

—This will be your opponents home, are you feeling any pressure
Not at all. I have the skills and for most, I have the mentality and the determination for the win. I respect the country of Japan, and Ishii being Japanese, but I want to win even more.

—What kind of preparation are you doing for this fight
I had a fight a week ago in Russia. I was able to win in a good way so I would like to bring that momentum for the fight in RIZIN FF. I would like to perform at my full potential and come out victorious.

—What kind of organization is GCF
GCF is short for Gladiator Champion Fighting and is the best organization in Czech Republic. I have fought domestic, international fighters in GCF. It is the organization who groomed me to become who I am now.

—What do you have to say about your upcoming fight on NYE
PRIDE is what got me into this world, and introduced me to Musashi Miyamoto’s “The book of 5 rings” which made me want to learn deeply about Bushido. I am truly honored by the fact that I will be able to compete in the land where Bushido was born, Bushido spirit was born. On fight day, I will fight with a clear mind, and will give it everything I’ve got.
