—For your preparation for this fight, did you do anything special in regards to your training?
I changed my training partner. I also joined a new kickboxing gym to improve my standup game. The training was much more intense than usual.

—Please tell us your thoughts on your opponent?
He’s just like me, very aggressive. He likes to attack, as do I, so I think we can put on a great fight.

—And could you also tell us your thoughts on representing Lithuanian Bushido?
The will to win at all costs. Lithuanian Bushido is so big, and for me to be announced as a representative of Lithuania is such a great honor. I will do whatever it takes to win the fight.

—If you progress past this fight and into the next round, you may potentially face Japanese fighter Satoshi Ishii. What are your thoughts on this?
To fight Ishii would be such an honor although I haven’t come to Japan to sightsee, I am here to win.

—And for the people who will watch you fight for the first time in Japan, what should they look out for?
I want to send my supporters home happy and I want to put on a great fight, but what else can I say? I am here to win.
