That fight was not only for the title but was also for the ticket to Japan. I have been a PRIDE fan since I was a kid, and always have dreamt about fighting in Japan. It is an absolute honor for me to be participating in the RIZIN WORLD GP. I would like to put on a fantastic performance that represents Brasil MMA.

Jungle Fight puts on the biggest events in Latin America region and the best fighters from Brasil and the surrounding countries fight in it. Fighters who perform well in the promotion advances to bigger shows.
—What are your thoughts towards Japanese MMA
I decided to become a professional fighter because of Japanese MMA. My favorite fighters were Wanderlei Silva and Fedor Emelianenko. Watching them fight made me want to become a fighter.
—You drew No.5, and were in the position to choose your opponent out of 4 candidates
Actually it wasn’t that hard. To be honest, I didn’t know who they were so I was able to make my pick without much thought. The reason why I picked the Second fight was by instinct.
—What are your motivations on fighting Teodoras
I felt that he had the looks and aura of a champion. I am sure this will be a great fight. I will show my aggressiveness at full, and please the Japanese fighters. I promise to put on a great show so please root for me!
