Hiroyuki Takaya
Hiroyuki Takaya will be fighting DJ Taiki on NYE. The Chiba’s street fighting bancho has mentioned that the fight that made him want to become a professional fighter was between Caol Uno vs Sumina Sato. But when asked about the fight which was a turning point, he chose the fight between Wanderlei Silva vs Dan Henderson during PRIDE 12 December 23, 2000. Silva defeated Henderson by a 6-0 decision.
“That was an amazing fight. I remember that fight clearly. Silva was getting banged up at the beginning, but he came back with style and ended up beating Henderson. That fight motivated me as a professional fighter. Definitely my favorite. Do I want to show a performance like that? Well, it would be much better to beat up your opponent without getting banged up right?”

DJ.Taiki
DJ Taiki will be facing a dangerous striker Hiroyuki Takaya. His unique character and his pink “official” outfit of his idol voice actress Yukari Tamura stands out and his unorthodox, technical striking as a fighter is often under looked.
DJ’s turning point was the tournament semi-finals during a TV series between Mizuto Hirota held in July of 2015. He lost the fight by unanimous decision.
“There were many turning points, but the most recent one is my last fight against Hirota. I decided to go for the heavy exchange and I lost. May be wimped out before the fight. After that fight I thought about quitting, but Yukarin saw the fight and was inspired and ended up meeting me so I couldn’t quit. Because of that fight, I was able to mature as a fighter and focused than ever, I have set up training camp in US so I will be physically and mentally ready to go.”
