—In preparation for this fight, did you train with Fedor Emelianenko?
Of course I trained with Fedor. We had a training camp at a place called Stary Oskol (Старый Оскол). We trained together as a team, and everyone’s preparation for the tournament is on point.

—Goran Reljic is a formidable opponent, do you have a counter-plan for him?
In preparation for this fight, I have been studying him closely, what he likes to do, what his go to moves are etc.

—Do you want to show what techniques Combat Sambo has in this fight?
In order to win the entire tournament, I want to show the world not only what Combat Sambo techniques are all about, but also the beauty and grace behind the art. Striking is one element of Combat Sambo that I also really want to show.

—Who would you say is your biggest rival in this tournament?
After taking a look at all the fighters, I’d have to say that Satoshi Ishii and King Mo are.
