A new star in Chute Boxe. An interview with Felipe Efrain.

—After arriving in Japan, how is your mental state going into the fight?
I gracefully accept this offer and I am very thankful for it. My body conditioning is 100% perfect, but truth be told I only just arrived in Japan and I am a little tired from the long flight over. I’m weighing in at 59kg.
—What are your thoughts on your opponent, Yuki Motoya?
I’ve seen a lot of his fights, and nothing really surprises me but he definitely is a fighter with a lot of confidence. Saying that however, I’ve come to Japan to win.
—Up until now, there have been a lot of Chute Boxers in Japan. How do you feel about being a representative of such a great art?
I’m very proud and happy to be a Chute Boxe representative. I never really thought I’d be able to come to Japan and do this but when I had my last match back home, I was preparing for Japan as well as that match at the same time. Once that match was over, we revved up the training to a different level knowing I’d be fighting here.
—What are your strongest moves?
My knees and stomping.
—What advice did you get from Chute Boxing president Rudimar Fedrigo?
In order to win, I must have the mindset that I want to kill my opponent.
—What kind of fight do you envision the fight to be?
He is a fighter who always likes to advance, and so am I. We both like to go forward so I think sparks will definitely fly when we meet in the ring. This is how I imagine the fight will be.
